The Honorable Prime Minister, Samiuela ‘Akilisi Pohiva, leaves today for Auckland, New Zealand on a private trip to accompany his ill wife, Neomai Pohiva, who will possibly undergo surgery.
Mrs. Pohiva has been ill and bed-ridden for some time, even during the political campaign that saw her husband voted in as a Member of Parliament last year, and later the Prime Minister of Tonga.
The Prime Minister himself will undergo a routine medical check-up while he is in New Zealand, and will be returning to the country this week.
