Eleven more people arrested with illicit drugs Featured
27 March, 2020. The Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce continues with their efforts to disrupt the supply of illicit drugs that negatively impact our communities, targeting drug suppliers and drug dealers who sell drugs from their vehicles.
Police arrested 11 people from 7 different locations in Tongatapu within the last weeks and seized 10.34 grams of methamphetamine; 4.9 grams of cannabis, drug utensils and cash during these arrests.
All 11 accused, ten men and one woman, have been charged accordingly.
They have been charged with possession of illicit drugs and are in police custody to appear at the Magistrate Court at a later date.
A/Deputy Commissioner Tevita Vailea says that Police are committed to disrupt and detect the supply of drugs and hold those responsible to account.
