Nuku'alofa, 14 October 2015. Thirty (30) new Police recruits will have weekly training conducted by Inspector Tevita Fifita and his staff every Wednesday for a period of one month to enhance their knowledge about the different areas of Police work.

Inspector Fifita says that the training will start today Wednesday, October 14, for half a day.

“At the moment they’ve been attached to the Nuku’alofa Police Station and areas they lack in will be highlighted during this training. That can help them to learn fast and enhance their perspective within the Ministry on its role and its visions.”

The Wing 43 recruit will be attached at the Nuku’alofa Police Station for 18 months and within that time period it will be the Inspector’s decision to re-shuffle them within the Ministry’s Departments.

“While they’re here I will then move them around within the Ministry so they’ll get to have a fair idea on the different components of the Ministry before moving out to other stations and the outer islands. This moving will occur over the months within the 18 months period,” Inspector Fifita said.

There are 30 new police recruits for Wing 43, with 10 female and 20 male recruits.
