3 July, 2021. A convicted Tongan government minister, 'Akosita Lavulavu, and her husband 'Etuate Lavulavu have each been jailed for six years.
27 June, 2021. The relentless commitment of the Tonga Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce (DET) in targeting and disrupting drug dealers’ illicit activities resulted in the arrest of seven (7) people along with illicit drugs, utensils, and cash from five (5) different locations on Tongatapu between Wednesday, 16th June to Thursday, 24th June 2021.
6 June, 2021. Between Monday 24th and Monday 31st of May 2021, the DET arrested fifteen (15) people in four different raids in Kolofo’ou, Ha’ateiho, Tofoa, and Ma’ufanga.

3 May, 2021. The Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce have arrested and charged seven (7) people with possession of illicit drugs between the 19 and 30 of April 2021 from 6 different locations in Tongatapu, in an ongoing operation targeting drug dealers and suppliers.
