18 July 2021. Eight (8) people were arrested by the Tonga Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce (DET) from more than four different locations on Tongatapu between Monday, 28 June 2021 and Wednesday, 14 July 2021.

3 July, 2021. A convicted Tongan government minister, 'Akosita Lavulavu, and her husband 'Etuate Lavulavu have each been jailed for six years.

27 June, 2021. The relentless commitment of the Tonga Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce (DET) in targeting and disrupting drug dealers’ illicit activities resulted in the arrest of seven (7) people along with illicit drugs, utensils, and cash from five (5) different locations on Tongatapu between Wednesday, 16th June to Thursday, 24th June 2021.

6 June, 2021. Between Monday 24th and Monday 31st of May 2021, the DET arrested fifteen (15) people in four different raids in Kolofo’ou, Ha’ateiho, Tofoa, and Ma’ufanga.

27 May, 2021. The Police Drugs Enforcement Taskforce (DET) continues to double down on targeting drug dealers and holding them to account and removing drugs from our communities as to minimize the harmful effect they have on our people.
