Miss Tonga to Compete in Miss Pacific Pageant Featured

Nuku'alofa, 5 December 2015.  Miss Brittne Fuimaono, will be competing for the Miss Pacific Pageant crown in the Cook Islands from December 6-12.

Ms Fuimaono, who won the Heilala Festival crown earlier this year, will be participating at the Miss Pacific Islands 2015 beauty pageant with seven other contestants from around the region.

Miss Fuimaono is currently in Tonga in preparations for the regional pageant and is due to leave for Rarotonga this Friday escorted by her chaperone.

Earlier today the Ministry of Infrastructure and Tourism,  in partnership with Tourism Tonga, hosted the media in announcing the Kingdom’s representation at the Pacific event.

Tourism Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Pesalili Tu’iano said that they were happy to have Tonga represented at the pacific pageant.

“We are grateful to have Miss. Brittne Fuimaono represent Tonga at the Miss Pacific Islands 2015. She is an incredibly talented and qualified young lady representing Tonga to vie for the title of Miss Pacific Islands Pageant 2015,” he said.

“Those familiar with pageantry will know exactly what it takes to become a winner of which Miss Tonga is nothing short of.”  

Miss Tonga will be joining seven other young ladies from the Pacific including Samoa, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, American Samoa and Cook Islands, in competing for the title of Miss Pacific Islands 2015.

Tourism Tonga said the pageant will be judged by selected judges from various field of expertise based on a variety of contests including interview, public speaking, beachwear, island creation and talent.
