Nuku'alofa, 26 August 2015. Training on mosikaka weaving is underway in the Islands of Ha'apai. The training is funded by the the South Pacific Tourism Organization in association with Tonga Handicrafts and Cultural Tourism Support Programme (THCTSP). Weavers from the islands of Ha'apai are learning a traditional weaving technique unique to the country, with the hope it will help them earn a better living.

26 August, 2015. A local tourism operator in Tonga says the whale-watching industry is a thriving business that has exposed Tonga to the world.

The leaders from India and the Pacific Island countries including Tonga, met in New Delhi and Jaipur City, India from 19th to 21st August 2015 for the Second Summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC).  The FIPIC Summit was first launched in Fiji last year, aiming to deepen cooperation between India and the Pacific Island Nations in areas of mutual interest.

Nuku'alofa, 24 August 2015. His Majesty King Tupou VI on Friday afternoon 21 August 2015 opened the Tongatapu Royal Agriculture Show at the ‘Atele Grounds in Ha’ateiho today and thanked all those who had participated in displaying local crops and products.
