Australian Prime Minister Congratulated by Pacific Islands Forum Secretary General Featured
20 July, 2016. The Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Dame Meg Taylor has written to congratulate Australian Prime Minister, Hon. Malcolm Turnbull on his re-election and re-appointment.
“Australia is a key member of the Pacific Islands Forum and your success, after a robust election process, illustrates Australia’s vibrant democracy,”said Secretary General Taylor.
“Your appointment comes at a crucial time for our region as we face a multitude and complex set of challenges best addressed by collective regional action.”

Prime Minister Turnbull and his ministerial team were sworn in yesterday by the Australian Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove.
