And whilst the Embassy has been most generous with supporting past TCFA projects, she must record her utmost appreciation, as this is the first time since 2009, that the Embassy has supported a project of this nature, which is to provide equipment and resources for the Office of TCFA.

The physical presence of TCFA, through its own office, gives credibility to the responsibility of TCFA which is to promote a deeper understanding, closer friendship ties, and increased cooperation between the peoples of Tonga and China.

Her Royal Highness acknowledged with gratitude the added funding support for the TCFA most recent project, the Home Gardening and Cooking Class, which the pilot program commenced few weeks ago with 8 households in the Fasi community.

The TCFA Board is very excited about this project, especially at a time that we must be more conscious of a healthier and consistent supply of organic and home-grown food resources, during and beyond the COVID19 pandemic.

The Tonga China Friendship Association as well as the Executive of Pacific China Friendship Association, are extremely honored and privileged at the support of the Chinese Embassy in providing the needed resources for the TCFA Office and Conference Room, which TCFA will utilize for the purpose of deepening the understanding, strengthening friendship, as well as social and economic cooperation, between the people of Tonga and China.
