24 September, 2023. The Kingdom of Tonga co-hosted a Climate Mobility Summit on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, held at a High-Level Breakfast where some other leaders were present, along with many who participated both in person and online.

20 September, 2023. Prior to the opening of the General Debate of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. António Guterres, United Nations Secretary General at the United Nations Headquarters on 17th September 2023.

20 September, 2023. The Prime Minister of Tonga, Hon. Hu’akavameiliku, held a bilateral meeting this morning with the President of Estonia, His Excellency Mr. Alar Karis, on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York.

31 July, 2023. Tonga and the United States of America are committed to strengthening their partnership on a number of priorities including the climate crisis, clean energy and sustainable infrastructure, maritime security, illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and digital transformation.

28 July, 2023. The Niuatoputapu Solar Hybrid System & Mini Grid as part of the Outer Islands Renewable Energy Project (OIREP) was commissioned by His Majesty, King Tupou VI on the 26th July 2023.

25 July, 2023. Hon. Hu’akavameiliku today opened the 21st Session of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Southwest Pacific and Southeast Indian Ocean Tropical Cyclone Committee and Severe Weather Program Management Group Meetings at the Fa’onelua Convention Centre in Nuku’alofa.

13 July, 2023. Tonga’s Fourth National Communication (4NC) Project under the Department of Climate Change conducted a virtual training on the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory (NGHGI) in collaboration with Subarao Consultancy Services SCS New Zealand from the 20th – 23rd of June 2023.

14 June, 2023. The Hon. Dr. Viliami Uasike Latu, Minister for Trade and Economic Development lead Tonga's Delegation to the International Labour Organization’s 111^th session of the International Labour Conference, which is held from 5^th to 16^th June 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.
