Drugs, firearm and bullets seized by Police

2 November, 2019. Police continue to target the supply of illicit drugs within the community with the latest arrest of a 30-year-old man from Nakolo with methamphetamine, a firearm and bullets on Wednesday 30th of October 2019.

The accused was arrested while driving a vehicle with two different licence plates, as part of an on-going drug operation by the Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce targeting drug dealers who sell drugs from vehicles.

Police seized 4 packs of methamphetamine (3.39 grams), one .22 rifle that was loaded, 53 live bullets and drug utensils. A search of his residence at Nakolo also resulted in the seizure of 9.77 grams of cannabis.

Police have charged the accused with the unlawful possession of illicit drugs, firearm and ammunition.

Following this arrest the Drug Taskforce also arrested and charged a 29-year-old man from Nakolo for unlawful possession of 1.00 gram of cannabis, and one live bullet.

Both accused are in police custody while investigation continues.
