[This song was composed by Tonga Pōteki Mālohifoʻou [Professor Maui-Tāvā-He-Ako Dr Tēvita O. Ka’ili’s grandfather] in 1942. Here is the original version. The song was written as a love song from Pupunu to a girl name PALU, and put to music by Viliami Wolfgramm. Notice that the first verse begins with P, and second begins with A, and the third begins with L, and the last verse with U. These are the letters that spell PALU].
