Rosamond Bing re-appointed as the CEO for Lands and Natural Resources Featured

13 May 2021. The Public Service Commission is pleased to announce the successful re-appointment of Ms. Rosamond Carter Bing of Ngele’ia and Kolomotu’a, Tongatapu as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources with effect from the date of signing the Chief Executive Officer contract for a period of four (4) years.
Ms. Bing is a law graduate of the Australian National University where she also attained a Master of Laws (Government and Commercial Law).
She has been a member of the Tongan Bar since 2001.
Ms. Rosamond Bing previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer for Lands and Natural Resources, Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources since her first appointment to the Chief Executive Officer position in May 2017.
With almost 20 years of experience in the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, Ms. Bing has progressed through her public service career in the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources in 2002 from her first posting as a Principal Assistant Secretary and as a consulting Legal Administrator.
Her extensive experience in public law and administration, policy formulation and implementation, and land and natural resources management is coupled with a passionate belief in the role of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources as a Ministry that serves its principal stakeholders, protects the public interest and contributes to the Kingdom’s aspirations for a better standard of living for all Tongans.
Despite the many challenges, she is keen to continue to promote and implement improvements within the Ministry with a view to delivering a high standard of services and products to the Ministry’s clients and to ensure that the public are well served.
She looks forward to continuing her work with the Ministry’s diverse network of regional and international organisations to complement the technical and specialised mandate of the Ministry.
