China will fund Tonga High School Sports Complex for 2019 Pacific Games Featured

19 December, 2016. His Excellency Hua ng Huaguang, Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Tonga and Honorable Aisake Eke, Minister of Finance and National Planning of Tonga signed the Letter of Exchange on China’s Aid to Tonga in Implementing the Tonga High School Sports Complex for 2019 Pacific Games.
According to The Letter of Exchange, China will assist Tonga in implementing the Tonga High School Sports Complex for 2019 Pacific Games.
The main construction for the project includes one indoor gymnasium, one outdoor rugby field, four outdoor netball fields, two outdoor swimming pools, one lawn bowling field and ancillary facilities within the scope of the project. The construction of these facilities will start soon.
During the past years, China has been providing assistance to Tonga which has greatly promoted the economic and social development of Tonga.
The assistance in supporting the construction of the sports facilities will not only support Tonga in hosting of 2019 Pacific Games, but also bring convenience to the local people in their physical activities.
