“ We know the consequences when the former powers decided to cut lose of their former colonies and the risks that followed. Part of this undoing goes to the UN mandate was then promoting the decolonization practice that will effectively hand over power to the locals to their former colonies. For the small pacific nations, self governing did not work well. The new politicians lacked any real knowledge in politics and administration. The former powers had left these countries so sudden and so prematurely that they should have provided gradual support for the new self governing nations to allow a new political framework to work. But they didn't and we saw so many corruption, nepotism and maladministration in nearly all of these countries. And its still happening today ”
