Pathetic as it sounds , it boils down to " ILLUD MIHI CULPA " yes I went into it with my eyes open , I was such a simpleton to believe I could outsmart the Chinese P.D.R Government , who let out enough rope so I could hang myself . YIKES ! As much as one is disappointed and frustrated with this Government ANTICS they alone cannot be held entirely responsible for this debacle 'cause the last two Governments took loans as well , but this Premier should've known better and go easy on the Chinese master card , but nooooo , China said Tonga is entitled to borrow any amount . The repayment interest will be minimal and it's to be long term . alarm bells should've been ringing , but the Premier in his wisdom kept on borrowing , at the same time he keeps deferring payment thereby playing into the hands of the Chinese . Did the Government really believe they can be instant millionaires by robbing the Government coffer and not be held accountable . This has been the aim of China from the start .Now the day of reckoning is at hand and Tonga is floundering in debt HELP ! America ? Australia ? New Zealand ? Its time the King steps in and take over before Tonga becomes a territory of the P.D.R of China . God bless Tonga . . ”
