Straight after the official meeting between the Honorable Prime Minister, Hon. Samuela 'Akilisi Pohiva, and the New Zealand Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hon. Murray McCully, on Monday the 16th of February 2015, they jointly faced the media for a press conference.
One of the most discussed issues today is a controversial letter from the Prime Minister of Tonga Hon. ‘Akilisi Pohiva to the Acting Attorney General ‘Aminiasi Kefu expressing his grave concerns over the role of the Acting Attorney General in the criminal case of Lord Tu‟ilakepa.
A ceremony was held at the Homegas Touliki Terminal in Ma’ufanga to mark the official ownership of Tonga Gas Ltd by the people of Tonga.
The ceremony was officiated by the guest of honour, Hon. Poasi Tei, the Minister for Public Enterprises, attended by Lord Matoto, president of the Constitution Free Church of Tonga, the Chairman of Tonga Power’s Board of Directors, Mr Carl Sanft and guests.
