Mata me'a fo'oua
Siofia he masani
Matanga e fonua
Mo e hala he Kanali
Vai tō he mo'unga
Moe 'akau he tele'a
Fakalelu ne hounga
Ki he loto kavea

Ko e matangi kehekehe
Angi he 'otu tahi na
Ko e talanoa 'eke
'O ha'ate fiefia
Tala hono fakaofo
Si'i le'o 'o natula
'Oku ongo he loloto
Ko hoto paletu'a

A'usia 'ete 'alu
Kolomu'a e maama
Ko e fakatalutalu
Ne ngangatu hono tala
Seti'anga siueli
Tapa 'aho mo e pō
Kalauni 'o e 'ofa
Ko si'oto manako

Kolo 'o e faka uō
Uta'anga fiefia
Si'i taloni e melino
'I he ano 'i Siniva
Tuku e tapuaki
Lau ai 'ete malo
Foki 'i he 'alavini
Ki he vaha mama'o

Fie lau si'a ipu

'I he langi 'oku nunu
Ai e palanite

English Translation/Liliu Faka Pilitānia

Seeing new things
relishing the splendor
scenery of the land
route through the Canal
waterfalls on the mountain
flora of the valleys
timely comfort
to the love-torn heart.

Varied winds
fluttering the seas
voices asking
about my joy
tell the wonders
of the dear voice of nature
echoing in the deep
my shield and support.

My journey reached
the row of lights
from ancient days
its scented tales
where jewels are set
day and night sparkling
crown of love
my treasure

festive city
source of gaiety
throne of peace
Geneva's lakes
leave blessings
my gratitude abounds
before returning
to the deep sea

Speak of a cup
overflowing with goodness
the same
in sun and rain
as long as
the Friendly Isles are spoken of
in a sky studded
with planets
