New Acting CEO for Tonga Chamber of Commerce & Industry Featured

13 January, 2017. Mrs Victorina (Dorina) Kioa of Tofoa, Tongatapu, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Office of the Tonga Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. Mrs Kioa has been appointed effective, 1st December 2016 until such time a new Chief Executive Officer has been appointed.
Mrs Kioa holds a MA in International Human Resource Management (2012) from the University of Westminster, London, UK. She is an Associate Member of the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Mrs Kioa also holds a BA (1994) from Victoria University, Wellington, NZ.
Mrs Kioa’s career began in 1994 when she was appointed as a Technical Assistant in the Financial Markets Department of the National Reserve Bank of Tonga, followed by senior positions including Senior Executive Officer. From 2004-2005 she held the position of Administration & Property Manager for the Pacific Finance & Investments Ltd group of companies.
In between local jobs, Mrs Kioa has extensive experience working overseas, including as a Process Manager at Atlantic Management Center (Virginia, USA) from 1999-2001, and as a Research Officer for the Commonwealth Secretariat (London, UK) in 2008. More recently, Mrs Kioa has been working as the Manager of the Tonga Business Enterprise Center (TBEC) from 2014 to present.
Mrs Kioa has sat on various committees, namely, Chairperson for the Civic Education Steering Committee (UNDP, Tonga Governance Support Program and as a Director of the Tonga Red Cross Society’s Board of Directors.
